We had the privilege to host the Mobilizing Aging in Place Knowledge Summit with seniors, health and community stakeholders on October 10 and November 7, featuring 5 digital stories to catalyze various collaborative efforts!
Actionable steps to reach isolated seniors and improve aging in place generated so far include:
1. Promoting and creating opportunities for regular, local interactions
2. Ramping up transportation and home visits
3. Centering on relationships for health and wellbeing
4. Ensuring the availability of options for diverse expressions
5. Harnessing technology for connections among service users
6. Harnessing technology for connections among service providers
7. Connecting the formal and informal care systems

We also presented at the Gerontological Society of America on November 16, reflecting on the importance of trust and decolonial knowledge cultivation to yield innovations, sharing best practices alongside other community-engaged researchers including colleagues from Memory Keepers.
