EQUIGENESIS UrbanLab is leading a Canadian-Australian-European Partnership for BrainHealth grant on Digital social Prescribing for Dementia care and Prevention in Community (DP2C).

We’re looking to test a biofeedback technology to help regulate heart-rate variability (HRV) among older adults with memory complaints and persistent depressive symptoms despite community-based interventions (e.g., horticulture, mindfulness, or movement-based therapy), identified through a digital social prescribing app in city and rural areas for each country. This is an interdisciplinary team comprising clinicians and planners. Work packages for country PIs include:

WP1. To introduce and implement the digital social prescribing app in 4 city/rural areas, involving at least a health centre and a community centre in each location.

WP2. To provide training, monitor progress, and support health and community service providers by organizing Learning Circle(s).

Deadline is March 7 for expression of interest to Dr. Olayinka Akinrolie Ph.D, MSc Gerontology or A/Professor Dr. Daniel RY Gan (drgan@sfu.ca).
